National Lampoon

This cartoon appeared in National Lampoon Magazine, and was one of the earliest cartoons I ever drew that was published professionally. As a young adult hoping to become a published cartoonist, another artist friend of mine and I used to meet every week at a pub with a cartoon in hand. Best cartoon (as judged by the server) gets a drink on the other cartoonist. Failure to show up with a cartoon meant you bought the drinks. As a result of these meetings, I had a stack of several cartoons that I later mailed out to various publications. This cartoon was the only one that got accepted for publication.
